Head of Marketing Full Time

Atomic is an Australia/New Zealand distributor of global, iconic clothing brands well known to the urban, surf & skate fashion markets. Our company is 30 years strong and growing due to new brand contracts and market opportunities. Our current brands include Dickies, Santa Cruz, Independent, Stan Ray and Sendero Provisions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity in a growing business for a well-organized, and motivated marketing professional to join our team as the Head of Marketing for Stan Ray, Dickies, Sendero and Von Dutch. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that these brands are presented to the market in line with the brand’s heritage with an eye on the future. To be successful in this role, you will need to have an in-depth knowledge of these heritage skate brands and understand the culture that is unique to this industry.  You will be working with a Marketing team that is complete with extremely talented graphic designers and digital content creators. You will also be responsible for building on the current team, to ensure all brands are provided with the attention they need.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

• Develop campaign and marketing strategies and initiatives across Atomics’ marketing calendar
• Responsible for management and creation of all marketing artwork and ensuring that print job workflow is seen through from brief to delivery
• Conduct Market Research to keep on top of current and future trends within the sphere of marketing
• Design and Production of POS for wholesale and retail accounts
• Producing a seasonal interactive lookbook/catalogue/magazine/newsletter to be featured on the website and instore, inclusive of magazine-styled layout pages and campaign images
• Managing design & creation of selling and training materials, as well as the necessary information required for Sales presentations and brand proposals
• Press-checking, proofing, and spell-checking of all electronic and printed media
• Organising brand involvement in events, and coordinating events/material and product
• Preparation of annual marketing plans and reviews
• Preparation of marketing budgets and expense reports.
• Planning, implementing, and evaluating advertising campaigns utilizing the most effective channels in accordance with the budget.
• Establishing and building relationships with the media and relevant external partners to leverage publicity.
• Work with brand owners’ marketing team to ensure we have all of the new season’s assets as soon as they are available and communicate any US/Global activations, tours, art shows, events, and other marketing activity
• Analyse the success of marketing campaigns and generate reports to present measurable data to illustrate this success.
• Provide direction and help to coordinate Skate events & Trade activations
• Provide concept and asset direction to graphic artists so they can design and produce all the assets required for each activation.

 SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Proven work experience as a Senior Marketing Manager, particularly in relation to the Street, lifestyle and Action Sports Industry 
• Demonstrated ability to think creatively, open to change and new ideas
• Previous experience in developing marketing strategies and communicating these strategies seamlessly across the business
• Passion for management and team development
• Up to date with the latest industry trends and marketing best practice
• High Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Degree in Marketing or a related field
• Strong passion for the lifestyle fashion industry and the culture that surrounds it
