Operations Manager Full Time

We are looking for a strategic operator to join the Basil Bangs team at our Sydney HQ.

At Basil Bangs, we believe that ‘good design’ isn’t just about the final product, it’s about the entire ecosystem that delivers it. We are looking for a business brain to partner with our creative heart; someone who understands that a premium brand requires a premium supply chain.

You don’t need a background in architecture or design to join us, but you do need to appreciate the industry. While we focus on the next collection, you will be focusing on the engine that makes it scalable.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a pivotal role within a dynamic, design-led company. Reporting to the Directors, you will take ownership of our operational infrastructure. You will have the autonomy to build systems your way and the opportunity to directly shape the future of the business. This is a hybrid role for a ‘systems thinker’ who is equally comfortable presenting strategy as they are organising the warehouse floor.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Scalability: Taking our operations from their current state to the next level of growth
  • Systems Architecture: Optimising our ERP, inventory management, and implementing AI-driven workflows to reduce manual handling.
  • Global Logistics: Managing end-to-end supply chain, from offshore factory negotiation to landed cost analysis and local warehouse management.
  • Physical Operations: We are a lean team. You will lead facility setup, WHS compliance, and yes, you need to be willing to jump on the forklift when the team needs support.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for Operational Excellence.

  • You are a data-driven leader and love bringing order to chaos.
  • You are a builder. You have experience scaling small business operations and implementing SOPs from scratch.
  • You are tech-native. Excel is your second language. You are proficient in inventory systems (Cin7/Shopify) and excited by the potential of AI.
  • You are commercially minded. You understand the impact of freight, duty, and exchange rates on the bottom line.
