What you’ll be doing

• Own and execute buying strategies across your departments, balancing trend, commerciality and customer demand

• Source and select products from both local and international suppliers, ensuring we’re always delivering fresh, on trend ranges.

• Identify emerging trends, products and opportunities before they hit the mainstream

• Collaborate with our Product Development Team to create and launch new products that reflect current fashion trends and customer demand.

• Analyse product performance to identify opportunities and make data-driven decisions that optimise sales, profit, and stock efficiency.

• Review department and store performance, monitoring sell-through and market trends to support weekly and seasonal planning.

• Manage purchase orders, including reviewing confirmations, tracking changes, and ensuring accuracy from order placement through to delivery.

• Monitor cancellations, delays, and delivery updates to support smooth end-to-end product flow.

• Mentor and develop Assistant Buyers, helping shape the next generation of merchandise talent and future leaders within the business.

What we’re looking for?

We want someone who is fast, commercial and fashion forward

You’ll bring:

• Previous buying experience, ideally within fashion, retail or a high-volume environment with an understanding of the full buying cycle

• A strong understanding of trends, customers and what makes a product commercially successful

• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and turn insights into action.

• The confidence to make decisions in a fast paced, ever-changing environment

• Strong capability across Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence engaging stakeholders internally and externally.

• A proactive, energetic approach – You see an opportunity and you go after it

• The ability to juggle multiple priorities without losing momentum

• A genuine passion for the City Beach customer, culture and product
