Junior Video Editor, Social Media Full Time
The Role
This Junior Video Editor, Social Media role covers a broad area of functions within Media and Marketing. This role participates in most diverse video production activities with focus on editing as main task and occasional on-site collaboration with content creators and athletes.
What You Will Do
- Provide day-to-day editing assistance for the Social + Sports Marketing teams.
- Content sourcing + ideation on GoPro awards.
- Support Global team with content requests for vertical channels: GoProSnow, GoProMoto, GoProBike.
- Create content for GoPro’s social media platforms with some supervision.
- Follow, maintain and improve team workflow, organization and process.
- Provide rough cuts, rushes/selects or daily assembly edits.
- Cultivate a keen eye for selecting the best moments from raw footage.
- Take charge of the day-to-day organization, logging, and media management of new content
- Organize vast quantities of raw content
- Strong understanding of best practices for proper video compression and encoding.
- Collaborate cross functionally within Media and the broader Marketing organization.
- Reporting to Social Marketing + Production Manager
Skills We’re Excited About
- 2+ years of experience as a video editor.
- Experience with GoPro cameras as a production tool.
- Intimate knowledge of social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube
- Proven experience working with a video team (producers, production coordinators, talent, etc.).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Quick technical editing skills and a keen eye for color correction and image quality.
- Great story teller.
- Ability to work within short deadlines, manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
- Good knowledge of visual effects, design, fonts, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, After-Effects, Da Vinci, etc.
