Who are we looking for?
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer for our Australian operations. The position is full-time and based out of our head office in Burleigh Heads (Gold Coast). Reporting to the Company Accountant but also working closely with the management and operational teams, day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accounts payable, managing and maintaining accounts receivable, and recording and reconciling financial transactions.
Key Role Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Manage daily financial transactions, including invoicing, accounts payable processing, and reconciliation.
- Maintain and manage accounts receivable.
- Handle month-end processes, including reconciliations of credit cards.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Assist with cash flow management and ensure timely payment collections.
- Manage and process credit card expenses, staff expense claims.
- Provide support to sales teams, including order management and customer account updates.
- Respond to customer account queries.
- Provide support to the finance team by contributing to ad hoc financial reporting and data analysis.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (particularly Xero and Cin7) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Australian work authorisation required for this position.
