About the Role

• Provide A+ client service to our partners
• Do market research & identify the most suitable companies to partner with Surfing Australia
• Build custom partnership proposals for brands that deliver on their business outcomes
• Create sellable inventory & opportunities for partners in each of SA’s initiatives
• Track & report performance of Partnerships sales leads, meeting, learnings & results via Salesforce & regular meetings with CEO & partnerships team
• Identifying, prospecting and securing new partnership opportunities with brands, businesses and organisations aligned with the Surfing Australia mission and values
• Managing existing partnerships, ensuring strong relationships and delivering on contractual obligations
• Developing and implementing strategic partnership plans to maximise the value and impact of each partnership
• Negotiating and drafting partnership agreements and contracts
• Serving as the main point of contact for partners, coordinating across internal teams to deliver exceptional experiences
• Analysing partnership performance and providing recommendations to continuously improve our offering
• Supporting the broader commercial team with sales and marketing initiatives

What we’re looking for

• 3 + years proven track record of sales & client servicing (media &/or sports sponsorships preferred)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
• Experience in creating partnership proposals/solutions and comfortable with presenting and pitching to multiple stakeholders
• Commercial acumen and the skills to negotiate mutually beneficial partnership agreements
• Strong knowledge of the Australian sports sponsorship and media landscape
• A passion for surfing and the ability to convey the Surfing Australia story and vision with enthusiasm
• Degree qualified in a relevant field such as business, marketing or sports management (highly regarded)
• Able to work in a team environment and independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office + CRM/database/Salesforce (or similar)
• Strong project management abilities
• Membership of professional sports, sales &/or industry groups an advantage
• Strong work ethic and passionate about your career and about making a difference
