Lead the development and execution of the digital merchandising strategy to deliver an engaging and high-performing online shopping experience. This role focuses on visual merchandising, product discovery, education, stock flow, and performance reporting — all aimed at driving revenue, conversion, and engagement.
Develop and implement a digital merchandising strategy aligned with global goals and business targets
Analyze performance to continually optimize customer engagement and conversion
Collaborate with marketing and e-comm teams to integrate strategy across all digital touchpoints
Oversee the site’s visual product presentation for consistency and appeal
Execute seasonal and promotional merchandising plans
Maintain seamless and engaging product detail pages
Improve site search, filtering, and navigation for better product discoverability
Enhance cross-sell and recommendation features
Use user behavior data to identify gaps and optimise merchandising touchpoints
Review and evolve seasonal merchandising elements
Partner with marketing to create product content focused on features, benefits, and use
Collaborate with content teams on descriptions, videos, and guides
Ensure all product content is accurate, localised, and customer-friendly
Develop data-led merchandising plans for year-on-year growth on Arcteryx.jp
Monitor and maintain stock levels to minimise sell-outs and overstock
Work with supply chain and inventory teams on stock flow optimisation
Build and maintain reporting dashboards on stock, sales, and performance
Share insights and recommendations based on data
5+ years in digital merchandising or e-commerce
Demonstrated success leading merchandising strategy
Experience managing teams
Familiar with e-commerce platforms and inventory systems
Deep knowledge of e-commerce and merchandising best practices
Strong background in visual merchandising and on-site navigation
Excellent project management and cross-functional coordination
Analytical and data-driven, with strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable using merchandising and e-commerce tools
