Position Title: eCommerce Manager
Brands: Outerknown, Firewire, Slater Designs
Reports to: GM eCommerce & Digital Marketing
Department: eCommerce & Digital Marketing
Oversees: eCommerce, Digital Merchandising, UX and Dev teams
Interactions: Operations, Marketing, CX, Planning, Merchandising, Finance
Manage and oversee all aspects of the digital experience — from site management and product merchandising, to site speed, UX, and feature expansion — with the aim of creating a best-in-class online shopping experience.
Own all aspects of the eCommerce P&L and drive optimization across every lever impacting financial performance. Deliver eCommerce sales and profitability targets by working cross-functionally with product, marketing, creative, finance, retail, and operations teams.
Note: This role requires a minimum of 3 days in-office in Carlsbad, with potential for increased presence based on business needs.
Oversee day-to-day eCommerce operations across Digital Merchandising, Digital Capabilities, UX, and site management.
Own third-party vendor and agency relationships, ensuring performance and accountability.
Optimize backend processes (returns, exchanges, fulfillment, fraud, cancellations) to protect margins.
Plan and lead execution of all key GTM (go-to-market) calendar events.
Partner cross-functionally to foster collaboration and drive performance.
Define, deliver, and track strategies/roadmaps for Digital Merchandising, UX, and eCommerce.
Implement evergreen A/B and test-learn strategies across eCommerce functions.
Develop and drive omni-channel strategy to ensure seamless CX across all DTC touchpoints.
Stay informed on emerging tech (AI, etc.) that could impact the digital business.
Define KPI goals and lead initiatives to meet them.
Deliver weekly KPI reporting across eCommerce functions and brands.
Share insights broadly across the organization to drive data-informed decisions.
Hire and retain top talent across Digital Merchandising, UX, and eComm.
Provide mentorship and professional growth opportunities.
Foster strong morale and build a high-performing team culture.
Achieve revenue and KPI targets.

5+ years overseeing eCommerce management.
High attention to detail.
Customer-first mindset with strong grasp of how testing impacts UX.
In-depth experience with Shopify and third-party app integrations.
Independent, creative problem-solver.
Proven cross-department collaboration.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong data skills (Shopify reports, Google Analytics, etc.).
Comfortable managing external agencies and contractors.
