The Marketing Manager for Sports Events leads the development and execution of major regional sports properties and large-scale events. This role is responsible for shaping event strategy, creating distinctive brand moments, and maximizing the impact of Red Bull’s sports initiatives across the region. You’ll act as a project lead from concept through delivery—working cross-functionally to ensure events are creatively strong, operationally sound, and aligned with national and regional brand objectives.
You’ll partner closely with local field teams, marketing leadership, media, and external stakeholders to activate sports properties, identify key audiences, and deliver standout events that strengthen Red Bull’s presence in sport and culture.
Regional Sports Event Leadership
Lead planning, production, and execution of all regional Red Bull Sports events
Own assigned event budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and ROI
Identify and secure event locations, permits, and approvals in collaboration with local authorities
Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and cross-functional teams
Source and manage production partners, vendors, and agencies
Oversee contracts, bidding processes, and negotiations with Legal and Risk Management
Coordinate with Brand Marketing, Media Network, Communications, and regional leadership to align strategy and execution
Product & Brand Activation
Partner with Brand Marketing and Sales to deliver locally relevant event activations
Oversee event collateral distribution and on-site branding execution
Collaborate with external partners to deliver innovative branding solutions
Best Practices & Knowledge Sharing
Share learnings, insights, and best practices across regional marketing and sports teams
Contribute to creative workshops, training sessions, and planning meetings
Support media and communications efforts to amplify event ROI through earned and owned channels
3+ years experience in event management, project leadership, and budget oversight
Proven track record delivering high-visibility events and complex projects
Experience managing budgets of $400K+
Strong contract negotiation and vendor management skills
Solid understanding of sports culture and regional/national sports communities
Experience working with local governments and approval processes
Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Collaborative leader with a creative, solutions-focused mindset
Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
Eligibility: Authorized to work in the United States
Compensation: $85,360 – $128,040 base + incentives (DOE)
