About the Role

We’re looking for a Finance Manager to lead financial reporting and operations across Rip Curl ANZ. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and commercial insight across a multi-entity, multi-million-dollar business.

You’ll be based at our Christchurch Support Office, managing a team and working closely with leaders across the brand. If you’re strategic, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-moving environment, this is a chance to make real impact at one of the world’s most iconic surf companies.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage month-end and year-end close across five entities and three ERP systems

• Lead and develop a team of 3–4 finance professionals

• Prepare management and statutory reports, cost centre analysis, and intercompany reconciliations

• Partner with the FP&A team on forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis

• Oversee inventory accounting, fixed assets, payroll, and rent processing

• Ensure tax compliance, including GST, FBT, and income tax obligations

• Support broader group reporting, including IFRS16 calculations

• Lead finance system migration projects and contribute to business strategy

What We’re Looking For

• CA or CPA qualified with 5+ years’ experience

• Big 4 background preferred; retail or listed company experience a strong advantage

• Strong leadership skills and experience managing finance teams

• Skilled in financial reporting, business partnering, and stakeholder communication

• Confident with complex reporting structures and multiple systems

• Advanced Excel skills essential; experience with Microsoft AX or D365 a bonus

• Commercial mindset with high attention to detail
