Rusty is an alternative surf lifestyle brand, proudly headquartered in Perth, Western Australia. Born in the mid-80’s in San Diego, California by the iconic Rusty Preisendorfer, our brand has stayed true to its deep roots in surf heritage.

About the Role:

We are on the hunt for a Social Media & Content co-ordinator to drive our digital presence and bring our brand to life across social platforms. If you’re a content creator with a deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram and the evolving social media landscape, this is for you! You’ll lead content creation, influencer collaborations, and social engagement to grow and strengthen Rusty’s community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Strategy & Management: Oversee and grow Rusty’s presence on TikTok, Instagram, and other key platforms, ensuring brand consistency, engagement and community growth.
  • Content Creation & Execution: Develop, plan, and produce engaging content, including in-house productions, influencer collaborations, and user-generated content initiatives. Maintain a structured content calendar.
  • Photoshoots & Production: Plan, coordinate and execute eCommerce, lifestyle, and content campaign shoots, ensuring high-quality, on-brand visuals.
  • Influencer & Affiliate Marketing: Build and manage relationships with influencers, ambassadors, and affiliate partners to expand Rusty’s reach and engagement.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as Rusty’s front-facing representative on social media, responding to messages, comments, and inquiries authentically and in line with our brand voice.
  • Copywriting & Campaign Support: Write compelling captions and campaign messaging to support marketing and digital initiatives.
  • Performance Analysis: Track and analyse content performance, identifying trends and optimising content strategies based on insights.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and influencer marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, and emerging digital trends.
  • Ability to plan and execute photoshoots, from concept to production.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in representing the brand online.
  • Copywriting skills with the ability to craft engaging, on-brand messaging.
  • Experience in social media analytics and performance tracking.
  • Experience with affiliate marketing platforms is a plus but not essential.
