Senior Manager, Design, Color Concepts Full Time
What will you do?
Vans is looking for a visionary Senior Manager, Design, Color Concept to lead seasonal storytelling through bold, elevated palettes across our global footwear and apparel lines.
This is not just a colorist role — it’s a creative leadership position where you’ll shape the color direction of one of the most iconic brands in streetwear and action sports. You’ll translate trend, consumer insight, and brand heritage into powerful color narratives that move culture.
- Define and own the seasonal color direction for all footwear and apparel categories
- Build cohesive, consumer-first color stories aligned with the Vans creative vision
- Deliver color tools, usage guides, and visual assets that fuel our product design teams
- Collaborate with design, merchandising, and marketing to bring color strategy to life across the brand
- Partner with the Senior Manager, Materials to ensure material selections elevate color execution
What do you need to succeed?
- 7–10 years of experience in color design or creative direction, ideally within fashion, footwear, or activewear
- Deep knowledge of color theory, application, trend research, and seasonal color planning
- Proven leadership building cross-functional alignment and mentoring creative teams
- Skilled in presenting ideas with impact, from product teams to the executive level
- Experience managing color calendars and asset creation across multiple seasons
- Background in material application or strong collaboration history with material teams
- Experience using Fiery XF, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Keynote
- Obsessed with trend, culture, and what’s next in fashion and design
- Knowledge with AI is a plus

Hiring Range:
$121,737.60 USD – $152,172.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
