Production Manager – Softgoods Full Time NEW

Job Description: 

In this role, you will oversee the entire softgoods manufacturing process of finished goods. At a high level, you will be responsible for creating and executing on a multi-year global production strategy. On a day-to-day level, you will coordinate with design, planning, and factory teams to manage production schedules, sampling, budgets, and product quality while ensuring a smooth transition from SMS to bulk production. This role will fully own production post-SMS.

Specific tasks include:

• Collaborate with leadership on multi-year global production strategy
• Lead final costing negotiations with factories at the end of the SMS development cycle, based on targets provided by planning team
• Build and maintain internal seasonal line sheets for full company to have visibility to style information, manufacturer, costing, minimums, and PO deadlines
• Maintain excellent relationships with vendors through frequent, professional communication
• PP sample approvals
• Ownership of size set validation and grading consistency, as well as fit consistency through bulk production
• Maintain database of all product details, costing, etc. for anything in development, ensuring consistency, and cost efficiency across all vendors
• Ensure the highest product quality by tracking product testing reports and documentation; oversee third party QC and production issue resolutions
• Work cross-functionally to manage communication regarding timelines, due dates, costing, and delivery dates
• Work with operations team on establishing and enforcing packing requirements and shipment planning, while coordinating shipping logistics and bulk production readiness
• Collaborate with and potentially manage our Product Development & Production Associate in daily functions, including:
• WIP reporting and flagging risks to on-time delivery
• Tech pack maintenance
• Build of materials development and maintenance
• Issue purchase orders to vendors

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience managing product development in softgoods categories, preferably in outdoor industry
• 2+ years of experience managing a team
• Expert in Google Suite, especially Sheets and Docs, and Adobe Suite
• Experienced in PLM software
• Proficient in Excel
• Excellent cross-functional communication with internal and external partners
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & prioritize deadlines based on overall company goals
