About the role…
We have a vacancy for a Digital Content Editor in our Global head office in Torquay in a full time capacity. We are looking for a video editing professional to support the Content Team to build engaging storytelling through audio visuals for Rip Curl’s digital channels. It will help contribute to ‘how’ the Rip Curl brand connects and manifests with consumers with a focus on video assets for Rip Curl’s digital platforms.
- Thorough knowledge of all required video editing and motion graphics software (Premier Pro, After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Proven experience in editing and motion graphics
- Thorough knowledge of operating camera and audio equipment
- Demonstrated initiative, conceptual thinking and a proactive approach to work.
- Assist with maintaining digital asset management platform for brand and campaign assets
- Ability to work in an organised manner and multitask, to meet challenging deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A team player who can work collaboratively with the rest of the content team
- Good commercial sense and understanding of marketing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
What we are searching for…
This is a unique opportunity to combine a lifestyle and career within the surfing industry. You must have an affinity for the surf lifestyle and the ability to understand the surf market and consumer. Our ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualifications in Film & Media Production or similar field (or recently graduated). You will have the ability take direction to create video cutdowns for social media and retail, support company video requests in line with the content strategy and through the lens of Rip Curl’s vision and brand values.
