Join the dynamic team at Ocean Heroes as the Free Events Program Coordinator – East Coast.
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing a range of free surfing events for the neurodiverse community across New South Wales & Queensland. The role will primarily be based across the Sydney metro beaches (Bondi, Manly, Maroubra and Cronulla), with regional travel across the East coast (including Northern Rivers, Gold Coast, Noosa). This position will involve fundraising activities/events throughout the year. Working closely with the Operations Supervisor – East Coast, you will play a vital part in delivering engaging, impactful experiences that align with the organisations mission. Coordinating and running the Ocean Heroes East Coast Free Events Program
Coordinating and managing the Ocean Heroes volunteer community
Assisting with sponsorship, partnerships, and grant opportunities
Meeting with key stakeholders in NSW and QLD
Assisting with organisation administration, marketing, and operations
Maintaining, purchasing, and managing equipment
Other duties as required
To demonstrate empathy and compassion towards volunteers, participants and families who attend Ocean Heroes Free Events program
Competent and comfortable in the ocean and beach environment
To be able to work well within a team environment
Hold a valid NSW working with children check
Hold a current NSW drivers license
To have flexibility around work times and locations
To be able to travel for events and work weekends
Comfortable setting up and managing events
Experience working within the NFP/charity sector
Experience in fundraising, sponsorships & partnerships
Flexible work hours
