What makes a cool place to work?
It might be the people, it might be the offices, it might be what the brand actually does. It’s likely a combo of all three.
Welcome to a series where we visit some of the most interesting brand HQs on the planet, take a bunch of photos of their digs, gauge the vibe, and also check out what the toilets are like. Sound fun? Good. This week we’re running through the laboratory like set up of Futures Fins, in Huntington Beach, California
A lot of surf and outdoor industry gigs still have you staring at a screen all day. But what if you actually want to get your hands dirty making the toys we all need to get in the water? Futures Fins are one of the few brands that makes it possible.
Located in Huntington Beach, Futures Fins HQ is ground zero for proper surf hardware geeks.
Walk through the front doors and you’re instantly hit with the high-performance aesthetic. The office display walls are absolutely plastered with fins of every template, foil, and material imaginable. The desks are kitted out with gaming chairs that look like they were ripped straight out of an F1 car. It definitely has a ‘we go fast’ feel.
But the real magic happens when you push through the doors and head out back. This isn’t just a storage facility holding cardboard boxes; it’s an absolute industrial wonderland.
Outside of a hardcore surfboard manufacturer like Mayhem, Futures Fins is one of the very few places in the industry where you can score an industrial-style job working directly with heavy machinery. Check out their site if you’re in the market for new fins here.
