Position

The Finance Analyst position provides timely, accurate, and high‑quality financial analysis to support informed decision‑making across the business. The role partners closely with the Finance Business Partner to translate financial data into meaningful insights, contribute to continuous improvement in financial performance and workflows, and support planning, forecasting, and operational governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial analysis and reporting to support business decision‑making
• Support the budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes, including variance analysis against actual results
• Partner with the Finance Business Partner to provide insightful analysis and commentary on financial performance
• Analyse trends, risks, and opportunities, and translate data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
• Assist with monthly close activities, including reconciliations and performance reviews, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
• Support operational and cost performance analysis, including labour, overheads, and key cost drivers
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process efficiencies, reporting enhancements, and system improvements
• Maintain and develop financial models, reports, and dashboards to improve visibility and understanding of performance
• Ensure adherence to financial governance, controls, and policies, escalating issues as required
• Support ad‑hoc financial analysis and projects as required by the business or finance leadership
• Analyse financial performance, trends, and key drivers
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting activities
• Deliver clear variance analysis and forward‑looking insights
• Build and maintain financial models and scenarios
• Support improvements to financial systems, reporting, and processes
• Streamline manual workflows and improve data quality through practical enhancements
• Enhance reporting and analysis tools to improve insight and decision‑making
• Contribute to continuous improvement and strong financial governance
• Improve data quality, consistency, and usability of financial information

Skills & Experience

• Degree qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
• Experience in a Finance Analyst, FP&A, Management Accounting, or similar analytical role
• Strong financial analysis and modelling skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into clear insights
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ideally within a commercial or operational environment
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g. complex formulas, pivot tables, financial models); experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is highly regarded
• Exposure to financial systems and ERP platforms, with the ability to navigate data, reports, and reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, data integrity, and financial control
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Finance Business Partners and cross‑functional teams
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, particularly during month‑end and forecasting cycles
• Proactive mindset with an interest in continuous improvement and improving systems, processes, and reporting
• Progress toward, or interest in, a professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA/CPA) is desirable
