In this full-time role, you will be responsible for owning and executing our core programs, free surfing events for the neurodivergent community across the East Coast. The role will primarily be based in Sydney with travel to coastal regional communities across the East Coast. You will own our core programs to ensure they are delivered safely, professionally and with meaningful impact. You will work closely with other staff, volunteers and partners.
Core Purpose
Own the East Coast Free Events program operationally and accountable for delivery standards. Coordinate and support the management of key relationships, sponsorship, stakeholder engagement, grants applications, fundraising events, marketing.
What you’ll be doing
– Lead and deliver the Ocean Heroes East Coast Free Events Program
– Manage and support the Ocean Heroes volunteer community
– Develop and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors and stakeholders
– Support grant applications, fundraising and sponsorship opportunities
– Coordinate logistics for events across NSW and Queensland
– Maintain and manage program equipment
– Support general organisational operations when required
Essential
– To demonstrate empathy and compassion towards volunteers, participants and families who attend Ocean Heroes Free Events program
– Competent and comfortable in the ocean and beach environment
– Analytical Skills to evaluate events and programs effectively
– Work well within a team environment
– Flexibility around work times and locations
– To be able to travel for events and work weekends
– Hold a valid NSW WWCC
– Hold a current NSW driver’s license
Desirable
– Comfortable setting up and managing events
– Direct surf experience or exposure to the surf industry
– Experience working within the NFP/charity sector
– Experience in fundraising, sponsorships & partnerships

Salary: $80k-$90k + Super depending on experience and capability
